At JustProtect, our goal is to provide software for companies of all sizes to assess themselves and the companies they wish to trust. As a result, we are consistently maturing our security program and best practices that are auditable, repeatable, and developed to a baseline that is accessible to all. To further expand our best practices, we committed to achieving Type 1 SOC 2 attestation in 2020 for Security, Availability, and Confidentiality trust principals.
We are pleased to announce that JustProtect’s SOC 2 Type 1 is complete and available for customers and prospects upon request. The SOC 2 report includes management’s description of JustProtect’s trust services and controls and independent auditor’s opinion of JustProtect’s system design of our assessment platform.
SOC (System and Organization Controls) is a standard that belongs to AICPA (the American CPA association). Public entities and those that target the US market rely on SOC to help ensure that the services they use meet security and availability requirements.
We will continue to lead by example by building security and privacy practices that are transparent, repeatable, auditable, and rigorous. We anticipate announcing SOC 2 Type 2 in 2021.
SOC 2 Educational Series
Being an assessment platform ourselves, the security team at JustProtect utilized our application to save us time and gather evidence towards our SOC. We are excited to announce that we will be producing an educational series on how our team approached our SOC 2 Type 1, utilized our platform, selected ISO standards, and saved time and money in delivering our evidence to our auditors.
This series, written by JustProtect Application Security and Compliance Analyst Bryan Urias and CEO Vikas Bhatia, will be available on the JustProtect Blog and launch mid-October 2020.
